Accessibility Statement

STAY MCC Boardinghaus is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Since 28 June 2025, the BFSG requires providers of digital B2C services to ensure accessibility.

Scope

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.stay-mcc.de and all subpages reachable under this domain.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. The content listed below is not yet fully accessible for the reasons stated.

Non-accessible content

• Online bookings are handled by an external third-party booking system. We cannot guarantee its accessibility ourselves and are in contact with the provider on this point.
• Contrast ratios in some decorative areas (e.g. overlay text on image backgrounds) may fall below WCAG 2.1 AA requirements depending on the image (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI elements).
• Animations and scroll effects can be distracting for some users. The website respects the prefers-reduced-motion system setting (WCAG 2.3.3). A site-internal toggle to disable all animations is not yet implemented.
• Externally linked third-party content (e.g. map services) is subject to the accessibility responsibility of the respective provider.
• PDF documents, where present, may not be fully accessibility-formatted (WCAG 4.1.1).

• Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion system setting

• Manual review of keyboard navigation
• Colour contrast check with WCAG Contrast Checker
• Review against the WCAG 2.1 checklist
